Metric DKOL Hose Fitting (L Series)

The metric DKOL straight hose fitting (L series) is used to connect a hose to fitting bodies with a 24° cone (DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1). The swivel nut has a metric thread; the O-ring on the fitting's 24° cone nose seals in the cone of the mating body. The L (light) series matches the tube sizes of lower-pressure lines, while the S (heavy) series matches those of high-pressure lines.

In plants dominated by European-made machinery — paper and board mills, rolling mills, ship deck machinery, cranes and lifting equipment in shipyards — it is the standard solution for the transition between tube line and hose.

• The fitting size is designated by the OD and series of the tube to be connected (e.g. 12L, 16S); for the same tube OD, L and S series nuts have different threads.
• If the mating part is a bite-type fitting body, the nut and ferrule on the body side are removed and the hose fitting is connected directly.
• The O-ring material must be selected according to the fluid and working temperature.

Installation note: The O-ring must not be cut or crushed, and the cone must be clean. Hold the fitting body while tightening the nut, and do not twist the hose.
