Seamless Stainless Steel Hydraulic Tube

Seamless stainless steel hydraulic tube is produced by a seamless process (piercing and cold drawing) and has no weld seam. With no seam zone, it offers a homogeneous structure around the entire wall under pressure. When it is used with bite-type compression fittings, OD tolerance, surface finish and tube hardness determine whether the ferrule bites into the tube properly. It is specified by metric OD × wall thickness.

It is used in ship and shipyard hydraulic piping, in the power lines of steering gear and deck machinery, on offshore platforms, in auxiliary lines at chemical and food processing plants, and in hydraulic control panels.

• Wall thickness is selected according to working pressure and safety factor; different wall thicknesses at the same OD correspond to different pressure ratings.
• Tube used with bite-type compression fittings must be annealed; the ferrule will not bite properly into overly hard tube.
• The tube standard and any material certificate requirements should be clarified before ordering.

Installation note: Cut the tube square and deburr it inside and out. Observe the minimum bend radius when bending, and check the bent section for ovality.
