About the product

The male branch tee joins two tubes with 24° cone bite-type ends while offering a male BSPT (tapered) thread on the branch. This allows a take-off from the main line to a pressure gauge, pressure switch, small valve or equipment port without an additional adapter, reducing the number of connection points.

It is used to create measurement points in hydraulic power units, to connect pressure gauges on fire pump sets, to add sampling or drain branches in the utility lines of food and chemical plants, and to monitor pressure in the hydraulic lines of board machines.

A BSPT thread is a 1:16 taper to ISO 7-1, and sealing takes place on the thread; it must not be fitted into BSPP ports designed to seal with a seal.
Use a thread sealant (tape or paste) compatible with the fluid on tapered threads.
For equipment with NPT ports, specify the NPT-threaded version; the two thread families have different flank angles (55° / 60°).

Installation note: First tighten the threaded branch into the target port and set the orientation of the tee; then connect the tube ends. Backing off a tapered thread to bring it to the desired position compromises the seal.
