Equal Elbow 90° (24° Cone)

A 90° equal elbow joins two tubes at a right angle and changes the direction of the line without bending the tube. Each end has a 24° cone, a ferrule and a nut; the connection requires no welding and can be disassembled and reassembled during maintenance.

It is preferred in tight spaces where a bend radius will not fit: in front of engine room bulkheads, on hydraulic unit frames, and around press and mill roll housings. On corrugator lines in paper and board mills, in rolling mill power units and in the compact hydraulic compartments of defense vehicles, it makes the tube run modular in areas that see frequent maintenance.

• On long, straight runs, bent tube reduces the number of connections and potential leak points; using elbow fittings where bending is not possible is good practice.
• Tube OD and series (L / S) must be the same at both ends; reducing types are evaluated separately for different diameters.
• Check wrench access for tightening the nuts before installation.

Installation note: The tubes must seat in the fitting body without axial strain. Supporting the line with tube clamps prevents vibration from loading the connection.
