JIC Male x Female Swivel 90° Elbow

This elbow is a 90° fitting with a JIC 37° male thread and cone seat on one end and a rotating female JIC nut on the other. Thanks to the swivel nut, the elbow can be turned to the required orientation while being connected to the mating part, so the hose or tube is routed along its intended path without twisting.

It is used where valve blocks, cylinder ports and hose ends meet in tight spaces: on cylinder connections in ship steering systems, on deck machinery serviced at shipyards, on the hydraulic arms of mobile defense vehicles and on aviation test benches.

• Using an elbow instead of a sharp bend in the hose line helps maintain the hose's minimum bend radius.
• The swivel nut end requires a mating part with a 37° male cone; it does not mate with a 45° flare or a 24° metric cone.
• The outside dimensions of the elbow body should be checked for wrench access and clearance from adjacent parts.

Installation note: Connect the male end first, then set the elbow orientation and tighten the swivel nut. The hose must not be left twisted after connection; twisting shortens hose life.
