Description
About the product
A needle valve gradually throttles or fully shuts off flow as a stem with a tapered (needle-shaped) tip moves toward or away from a seat in the body. Because the stem has a fine thread, precise adjustment is possible at low flow rates. Due to its small bore, it is used in measurement and control lines rather than main lines.
It is preferred for isolating pressure gauges and pressure transmitters, in sampling lines, in hydraulic control panels and for pressure relief on test benches; in the instrument lines of chemical and food plants, and in aviation and defense test equipment.
- The connection type (threaded end or twin-ferrule instrumentation end) and tube OD must be compatible with the measurement line.
- The stem packing material is selected according to the fluid and working temperature.
- Straight and angle body types are evaluated according to the tube routing inside the panel.
Installation note: Install the valve in accordance with the flow direction marking on the body. Do not apply excessive force when closing; if the needle tip and seat are damaged, sealing is permanently lost.
