Twin Ferrule Union Tee

A twin ferrule union tee joins three instrumentation tubes in a single body; it is used to branch a pressure gauge, transmitter or sampling leg off a measurement line, or to merge two lines. All three ends seal with twin ferrules. Versions with a male or female threaded branch allow a gauge or valve to be mounted directly on the tee.

It is used in process measurement lines at chemical and food processing plants, in sampling and analyzer systems on offshore platforms, and in hydraulic control panels and test benches.

• The tube ODs of the legs can be equal or reducing; the requirement must be stated on the order.
• Installation clearance must be planned in advance so that all three nuts can be tightened in sequence.
• Tube material and fitting material should be selected from the same family (316 / 316L).
• The weight of a gauge or valve mounted on the tee must not create a bending moment on the tube; support it with a panel bracket if necessary.

Installation note: Hold the tee body with a second wrench while tightening the nuts; otherwise the ends that are already tightened will be strained.
