About the product

A male connector joins instrumentation tube to a female threaded port. One end carries a twin-ferrule tube connection and the other a tapered male NPT thread per ASME B1.20.1; BSPT and BSPP threaded versions are also used, depending on the equipment. It is the basic component used wherever a measurement line connects to a valve, transmitter, manifold or a port on a tank.

It is used in process measurement lines at chemical and food processing plants, at pressure and temperature measurement points in ship engine rooms, in aviation and defense test equipment, and in hydraulic control panels.

The thread standard on the port side must always be verified; NPT and BSPT look similar, but their thread angles differ.
To seal a tapered thread, use a thread sealant compatible with the fluid.
Tube OD and thread size are independent of each other; both must be stated separately on the order.

Installation note: Tighten the threaded end into the port first, then make up the tube connection. Keep thread sealant away from the tube side and the ferrules.
